National Watercolor Society Signature!

I was called yesterday by Mike Bailey the President of the National Watercolor Society. He informed me that I had been awarded Signature Status with the NWS. He also let me know that my painting had won the Cheap Joe's Purchase Award in the 91st Annual Exhibition. I am incredibly honored to be included in such an outstanding group of artists in one of the most prestigious watercolor society's in the world. I'm still getting myself around this, but this is a major goal I've had and it feels so wonderful to get there.

  4. Congratulations Iain, there couldn't be anyone more deserving! That "NWS" should look right at home on your paintings! In my opinion, you're one of the most talented watercolorists I've seen and certainly one of my favorites.

  6. I just came across your blog and love your work..... Congratulations on your Signature Membership in NWS, Iain. (it's still on my to do list, but having just been invited for signature status in the New England Watercolor Society)... I know it's a wonderful feeling to attain one of your goals. Your paintings show you truly deserve this honor. I look forward to seeing more of your work. Maureen
