Delancey to the Williamsburg Bridge

Delancey to the Williamsburg Bridge
20" x 8.5"

Here's the latest. I've been pretty busy juggling teaching plans, rendering, and prep for my upcoming show. Not that I'm complaining by any means. It's nice to be tired at the end of the day. In this one I wanted to give a nod to my love of detail while still retaining a bit of the looseness I've been working on over the last year or so.

  1. You did it; the looseness at the bottom contrasts beautifully with the detail of the rest of the painting.

  2. Iain, This is a great combination of loose and tight. I wish to get to this stage someday myself. Nice work. Where is your show going to be?

  5. Dear Iain,
The successfull combination of looseness and tighten-up. Very sensitive and lovely outcome. Congratulations!

  6. Beautifully painted with just enough loose and tight - that bridge, almost ghost-like, really makes the painting special. Best of luck on the show (I don't think you'll need it at all) - and wishing you many open pockets!
